Brownes Farmhouse is located 10 miles from Dungarvan on the coast road to Ardmore in Old Parish (an tSean Phobail). With sea views from the house, it is 5 minutes by car to Ballymacart cove and 10 minutes from Glencorrin Beach which stretches 6 miles to Ardmore.

Old Parish is part of the Waterford Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area) so it is ideal to experience living in a traditional Irish setting, to experience Irish music, folklore and the craic. But don't worry everyone speaks English too.

  • Fly direct to Cork Airport - 50 minutes by car
  • Fly direct to Waterford Airport - 40 minutes by car
  • Fly direct to Shannon Airport - 2 hours by car
  • Car ferry Fishguard / Pembroke to Rosslare - 2 hour by car 
  • Brittany ferries to Cork - 50 minute by car

Directions from Dungarvan

Take the N25 to Cork from Dungarvan. Leaving the last roundabout for Cork from Dungarvan, take the first turn left R674 sign posted An Rinn and an tSeanphobal. When the road splits to go down hill for AnRinn and uphill for Ardmore and An tSeanphobal, follow up hill to An tSeanphobal. Continue on this road for 5 miles to John Paul Walsh’s pub. This is on a crossroads, go straight through the crossroads past the pub. The church and School at Ballymacart will be on your right, pass these take the first turn on the left. You will come to a yield sign and keep to the right of this. Brownes Farmhouse is the third house on the right hand side. 


Directions from Cork

Take the N25 towards Dungarvan.  After Grange, look out for Flemings Bar on the right hand side. Take the turn to the right at the bar. Continue straight through three cross roads, after the final cross road there is a turn to the right. Take this turn and proceed to the yield sign. Keep to the right of the yield sign. Brownes Farmhouse is the third house on the right.

Newly Refurbished Our self-catering accommodation is located near Dungarvan, Co.Waterford in the Ring - Old Parish Gaeltacht. This 150 year old house, once used as a safe-house during the Irish Civil War (1922-23), was refurbished in 2013. It combines 'boutique' old world elegance with the modern convenience of wireless internet, flat screen TVs, a well equipped kitchen & bathrooms. Sittingroom with library area and open fire. About Brownes Townhouse

Self-catering accommodation located in Dungarvan town centre. Refurbished in 2016, this was once a merchants residence, exporting butter from 1822 - 1930. Retaining all original features it now boasts WIFI , flat screen TV, a large kitchen leading to a patio and a living room with open fire. Accommodates 14 people.
