As you turn into Lismore and cross the bridge, you will stunned by the vista of Lismore Castle. The castle was built by King John in the 13th century.
Lismore Castle Gardens are open every day from the end of March until the end of September. Visitors can wander in the historic gardens of Lismore Castle, arranged over seven acres within the 17th century outer defensive walls. There is a wide variety of beautifully maintained plants and trees to enjoy as well as a permanent sculpture collection, access to
Lismore Castle Arts and spectacular views of the Castle and surrounding countryside. St Carthachs cathedral is also worth a look.

Lismore Heritage Centre you can view 'The Lismore Experience' an award winning Audio Visual presentation on the history of Lismore.
There is a very nice playground in Lismore and a beautiful town park.
